Admissions

Choosing a career path is one of the most important decisions you will make. Universal Healthcare Careers College in Los Angeles offers an exclusive program where students gain the skills and knowledge necessary to start a career in the medical field.

About one-third of our students have been referred to us by our current students or graduates. That is a testament to our quality of training. With so many successful graduates, they felt confident recommending UHCC to their family and friends.

At Universal Healthcare Careers College, we believe admissions should not be feared. That is why we have made it easy and painless.

Admissions Criteria and Process

Criterion 1 – Entrance Application

The entrance application provides for biographical information about you and other general information regarding your background and interests that will allow some direction for the exploratory conversation.

You will be given the entrance application when you arrive for your appointment.

Criterion 2 – Documentation “ High School Graduate/GED and Legal Resident

We only admit applicants who are high school graduates or have a General Education Diploma (GED). We also only admit applicants who are legal residents of the United States. If home schooled, you must provide state documentation of completion or equivalent.

During enrollment process you will provide documentation or arrange to provide at a later date. You can start class without providing documentation, however documentation must be provided before the end of the first module.

Criterion 3 – Exploratory Conversation

Exploratory Conversation is a relaxed exchange of ideas and thoughts between you and one of our Career Advisors. You are encouraged to ask questions to become better educated about UHCC. You must demonstrate a proficient level of English to be considered for acceptance into the program.

Once you have completed your application you will be called in for the exploratory conversation with a Career Advisor. The conversation will last as long as you have questions. Generally speaking, half hour to an hour.

Criterion 4 – Tour Facility

The Facility Tour provides the opportunity to see classes in session, try out equipment (if not in use by students) and ask any questions you may have.

The tour generally takes place after the Exploratory Conversation.

Criterion 5 – Complete Enrollment Agreement and Arrange Financing

Enrollment Agreement is mandatory, as it states the responsibilities of the student and the school. Once Agreement is completed we move on to Financing. Most students finance their education over a period of time. To make the burden of financing easier, we offer an in-house extended payment plan and work with third-party lenders or payers.

This normally takes less than 45 minutes. Once whole package is completed your paperwork is submitted to the proper school officials for acceptance. Once accepted you may attend student orientation with or without stipulation(s).

Criterion 6 – Acceptance and Student Orientation

Once Enrollment Agreement is signed by you and your Career Advisor, enrollment package will be presented to administration for acceptance. Only administration can accept application.

If accepted you will be notified with a date to attend a student orientation session prior to starting class. Student orientation is an extension of the admissions process and career planning. The facilitator will go over many ideas and concepts on how to prepare for your career and build your life.

If you are not accepted into the school, notification and reason for denial will be sent along with all monies paid by you to the school.
