Physical Therapist, Rehabilitation & Geriatrics Aide

At Universal Healthcare Careers College, we believe education should lead to a valuable healthcare career. Courses are taught both in the classroom and laboratory and students receive hands-on training from experienced healthcare instructors in a small class size environment. For some of the programs, we also offer hybrid online learning and ground laboratory experience. There are three practitioners of physical therapy: the Physical Therapist a doctor, the Physical Therapist Assistant, and the Physical Therapist Aide. The aide is the entry-level position in the field of physical therapy.

As a physical therapist aide you will provide valuable support to the health care team and treat your clients with the utmost professionalism.  Students at Universal Healthcare Careers College get the knowledge and skills in all phases of the health care industry and prepare graduates to work alongside licensed professionals to provide total health care. Our program is designed to increase wellness knowledge because patients now take a holistic approach to wellness. Whether you choose to work in the health care industry, spas or simply build your own clientele base and business, this program will prepare you for it all.

Physical Therapist Aide

You already know what a physical therapist does, so let us discuss what the aide does for the physical therapist. The Bureau of Labor Statistics states that physical therapist assistants and aides are supervised by physical therapists to help patients regain movement and manage pain after injuries and illnesses. The difference between the physical assistant and the physical therapist aide is that the assistant program is an associate degree program and allows the assistant to have some autonomy when practicing because they are licensed, the aide program is a diploma program and does not require licensure which means the supervision must be direct without autonomy.

In order to understand what a physical therapist aide does at work routinely, Indeed (the job posting site) has a good discussion on this profession.

Call us so that we can discuss the possibilities awaiting you in the world of massage therapy.
